| In this test, I evaluate the performance of the 1530, 18125 and 2460 at 24mm. The distance was 14 1/2 feet and very close to infinity from a focus standpoint. None of the images were sharpened. Using the newspaper as a guide, it is tough to make a decision as the performances appear very similar. If you look below the dolphins, the 2460 and the 1530 resolve the ridges in the paneling better than the 18125. The 18125 does seem to have slightly more contrast on the dolphins and the exposure is a little darker. The color looks to be the same among the three. I think this test more than anything else is a compliment on the quality of the 18125. |
