Sigma Lens Tests at 125mm:

18125 f4-5.6 DC

55200 DC f4-5.6 DC

70200 f2.8 EX/HSM

In this test, I evaluate the performance of the 18125 DC, 55200 DC and the 70200 f2.8 EX at 125mm. I used manual focus and shot with a sturdy tripod with heavy-duty ball head at f5.6, f8 and f11. None of the images were sharpened. All images are crops at 100%. My conclusion: The 70200 is substantially sharper and has better contrast at all three stops. The 18125, although very good and EX quality at the shorter focal lengths, it does not hold true at its full extension of 125mm. The 55200 falls between the two. This is about what would be expected of the three lenses given the price and the focal lengths covered.
